These dark paintings emerge from a state of agitation. There are no limits when I start painting, sometimes even hurting the paper or canvas. Let the light come in through the holes – like a view into distant galaxies, the landscapes of the starry skies. Even rage can cause productive results. The colour black is not absolute as there are blacks of many kinds. It is defined by the medium, by charcoal, graphite, oil, acrylic.
